Ilmar Kimm (1920 - 2011) was a renowned artist who specialized in various painting genres, with a particular focus on historical and work-themed figure compositions and portraits. He completed his studies in painting at the I. Repin Institute of Art in 1948. Kimm served as a faculty member at the Tartu State Art Institute from 1948-51 and at ERKI in Tallinn from 1952-88, where he held various positions including professor and head of the painting department. His work "Meri" (1982) is an oil on canvas painting measuring 43 x 51 cm, signed "I. Kimm 82" on the bottom right. The reverse side of the painting reads "Ilmar Kimm Meri – Pärnu mnt 1982.a. õ.l. 43 x 51 cm".
Strahhov, Anatoli (s. 1946). Pärnu laht (2020)

Artist: Anatoli Strahhov, born in 1946, is a renowned artist who studied at Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn. Strahhov is a member of the Estonian Artists' Union and the Estonian Russian Artists' Association. He has been participating in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His annual solo exhibitions have been held in galleries and exhibition halls in Estonia and abroad. His works are in private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. Strahhov's works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance between conservatism and experiment, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeral border, contain elusive textures and meanings, never fully revealing themselves. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions. The artwork "Pärnu laht" is an oil and tempera on canvas, measuring 25 x 35 cm, and is signed by the artist in 2020.

Oil on canvas painting titled "Tolstoy Street in Tartu" (1970s) by Axel Eist (1930 - 2000). On the back, it is marked with "Tolstoi tänav A. Eist." This pastose and temperamental work was created by Axel Eist, a medical painter and well-known figure in Tartu's artistic life. Eist studied painting from 1959 to 1964 under the guidance of E. Ya.M. Arrak and joined the Artists' Union of Estonia in 1989. His expressive brushwork and vivid imagery embody the spirit and aesthetics of his era.
