Espe Nigul (1907 – 1970). The Coast. (1963) is an exquisite watercolour painting on paper, measuring 22 x 32 cm, and signed by the artist in the lower right as N. Espe 1963. The artist graduated from the prestigious "Pallas" Art School in 1932 and was a student in Ado Vabbe's studio. He became a member of the Artists Union in 1945 and started participating in shows from 1929. Nigul Espe's works have been exhibited in cities like Riga, Rome, and Budapest. This particular landscape is a remarkable piece, painted with free strokes, showcasing one of Nigul Espe's best works.
