Espe Nigul (1907 – 1970). The Coast. (1963) is an exquisite watercolour painting on paper, measuring 22 x 32 cm, and signed by the artist in the lower right as N. Espe 1963. The artist graduated from the prestigious “Pallas” Art School in 1932 and was a student in Ado Vabbe’s studio. He became a member of the Artists Union in 1945 and started participating in shows from 1929. Nigul Espe’s works have been exhibited in cities like Riga, Rome, and Budapest.
