Pulst, August (1889 – 1977). Old Tallinn. Courtyard on Uus street. (1966)
Presenting "Old Tallinn. Courtyard on Uus Street" (1966) by August Pulst (1889 – 1977), a stunning watercolor painting on paper, sized 64.4 x 44.5 cm. Signed lower right by A. Pulst in 1966, this work exemplifies the artist's fascination with landscapes, flowers, and views of old towns. August Pulst's art education took place at Riga Art School during 1911-15 under V. Purvitis, V. Tillbergs, and B. Borchert. He also worked as a decorator in the theatre "Estonia" and played a vital role in collecting folklore and founding several Estonian museums. His works, primarily watercolors and oil paintings, often bear an ethnographical touch and have been exhibited since 1919.

The Artistic Journey of Hugo Lepik
Hugo Lepik (1905 - 2001) was a renowned painter and graphic artist. He successfully completed his studies in graphics and lithography at the State Art Industrial School in 1929, under the tutelage of G. Reindorff. In 1935, Lepik further honed his skills at the Higher School of Graphics in Berlin. From 1929, he began working as a lecturer at the State Art Industrial School, a position he held until 1940. During this period, Lepik also worked intensively in book graphics and contributed to various magazines. His works include cover designs and drawings for the magazine Sõdur (1929 and 1933), as well as cover designs for the magazines Kaitse Kodu! (1929) and Taluperenaine (1939). He also created beautiful vignettes for the magazine Varamu (1938), which were repeated from issue to issue. Lepik's style is characterized by its drawing accuracy and fine graphics, often depicting nature motifs. His title design for the 1938 second issue of the magazine Eesti Noorus consists of a regular antique script and an ethnographic floral ornament, typical of the era and school.
Alas Arnold (1911 – 1990). Yerevan Suburb. (1958)
"Yerevan Suburb (1958)" is a mesmerizing oil on canvas piece by the esteemed Arnold Alas. The artwork, measuring 55 x 50, captures the essence of the city's suburb with Alas's unique flair. Arnold graduated from the State Art School (Estonian Academy of Arts) in 1933 and has had multiple exhibitions, including ones at the Tallinn Art Hall and Tallinn Art Museum. Being a notable figure in the Estonian art community, he was a chairman of the Union of Artists and a member of the Yaroslavl Group of Artists. This piece, marked "A. Alas 58" on the lower right, embodies the artist's celebrated style and is a valuable addition to any collection. It is also worth noting that his works are part of the esteemed collections at the Estonian State and Tartu Art Museums.
Loik Ilme (b. 1939) – “Naissaarelt” (2016)
Loik Ilme, born in 1939 in Vahastus, Raplamaal, is a renowned artist known for his work in painting and porcelain. He completed his education from Tartu Art School in 1968 as an artist-decorator and from the Estonian State Art Academy as a ceramist in 1974. He has worked as an artist-decorator in Tallinn's Cafes-Restaurants Trust and as an artist in the ARS porcelain painting art combine. Currently, he is engaged as a freelance artist in painting and porcelain. He has exhibited his work in Estonia and Finland. The artwork "Naissaarelt" from 2016, an oil on cardboard painting, measures 37.5 x 56.5 cm and is signed on the bottom left as Ilme Loik 2016.
Aunapuu Hermann (1915 – 1998). Otepää. (1957)
Watercolour on cardboard created by Hermann Aunapuu in 1957, this artwork is signed by the artist as "Aunapuu 57" on the lower right. Hermann Aunapuu (1915-1998), a prominent artist, was trained in the prestigious Pallas School of Art, under the guidance of mentors like Ado Vabbe. Aunapuu's artistic prowess can be seen in his landscapes, still lifes, city views, nudes, and portraits, all reflecting his remarkable sense of color. Often compared to his contemporaries Elmar Kits and Endel Kõks, Aunapuu faced hardships during his career, including forced labor in Vorkuta. Despite these challenges, he continued to create art, working as a window designer for many years, until his first solo exhibition in Tartu in 2003. This piece, titled "Otepää," offers a unique insight into Aunapuu's creative brilliance and rich artistic heritage.
Eist, Aksel (1930 – 2000). At Home. (1962)
Experience the warmth and comfort of domestic life as captured by renowned artist Aksel Eist in his 1962 masterpiece "At Home."
