Ilme Loik (Pärnoja) was born in 1939 in Vahastu, Rapla County. He graduated from the Tartu Art School in 1968 as an artist-decorator, and from the Estonian State Academy of Arts in 1974 as a ceramist. He worked as an artist-decorator at the Café-Restaurant Trust in Tallinn, and as an artist in porcelain painting at the ARS art collective. He currently works as a freelance artist in the field of painting and porcelain. He has had exhibitions in Estonia and Finland.
