Oswald Eslon (1895 –1961). Forest Landscape with Lake (second half of 1940)
Eslon Oswald's captivating "Forest Landscape with Lake" from the second half of 1940 reveals a mastery in oil on masonite. The artwork, measuring 45,8 x 60,7 cm, proudly bears the signature "O.Eslon" on its lower left corner. Oswald's artistic journey took him from being a student of professor A.Hengeler in Munich (1918-1919) to exploring the enchanting landscapes of Italy, the bustling streets of Paris and London, and eventually to the serene countrysides of Sweden and Canada. This piece embodies the culmination of those experiences, capturing the tranquility of nature and the mystique of the forest.
Strahhov, Anatoli (s. 1946). Janes kuu all (2022)
Artist: Anatoli Strahhov, a renowned artist who studied at Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn. Strahhov is a member of the Estonian Artists' Union and the Estonian Russian Artists' Association. He has been participating in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His annual solo exhibitions have been held in galleries and exhibition halls in Estonia and abroad. His works are in private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. Strahhov's works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance conservatism and experiment, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeral border, contain elusive textures and meanings, never fully opening. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions. The artwork "Janes kuu all" is an oil and tempera on canvas, measuring 40 x 85 cm, and signed A. Strahhov 2022 on the bottom right.

Studied in Tartu from 1906 to 1909 under P. Myunhhen and in K. Raud’s Studio then continued his studies in St.Petersburg from 1910 to 1920 (Studio of V.Mate’ in 1915 and 1916, under A.Rylov in 1918). As a grant – aided student he got the opportunity to travel to Vienna.
Arnold Vihvelin participated in many exhibitions in Estonia, Russia, Germany and Finland.
