Hermann Ottomar Herzog's "On the Promenade of Lake Garda" is a mesmerizing oil on canvas painting that captures the essence of nature and the sublime beauty of the European landscapes he traversed. Painted in 1894 and measuring 54.5 x 75, the artwork boasts Herzog's signature in the lower right corner and an inscription on the reverse. Herzog, a student of Andreas Achenbach at the Düsseldorf Academy, was known for his refined and intricate technique. His travels in the 1850s and ‘60s saw him render landscapes filled with majestic waterfalls and turbulent skies. These artworks gained him recognition at prestigious venues like the Paris Salon and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. As a member of the Estonian Artists Union and Vice-Chairman of the Russian Artists Union in Estonia, Minin's expertise is evident in every stroke. His career includes a range of achievements such as being the Curator of exhibitions of Christian Arts in Estonia and holding various exhibitions of African-theme paintings in Russia. Minin's commitment to art and culture has led to a myriad of contributions to Russian arts in African countries such as Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Angola. His signature, Minin 96, can be found on the lower right of this captivating piece.
Greenberg, Johannes (1887 – 1951). Female portrait, the left profile. (1920-s)

This exquisite oil painting, "Female portrait, the left profile" (1920s), by the renowned Estonian artist Johannes Greenberg, reflects his mastery over style and color. Created with detailed precision, the portrait showcases the artistry typical of Greenberg's works in the 1920s. Greenberg's artistic journey began in 1904 when he joined Ants Laikmaa School-studio and continued his training in Germany until 1913. Living in Tallinn since 1920, he visited various European countries and worked as a drawing teacher, independent artist, lecturer, and restorer. This painting is part of the Ilmar Ojalo collection, reflecting a collaboration between Greenberg and the restorer. Even though it's not finished, the style and coloring are definitive of Greenberg's work from this period.

He was born in 1968 in Kiev, graduated from the Institute of Applied Arts and Design there in 1988 as an artist-designer, and in 1994 – from the State Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture as a monumental painter. His teachers were well-known painters-academicians V.Zabaštõ, V.Storoženko. Since 1998 he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
D.Dobrovolsky’s first solo exhibition took place in Kiev in 1994. Over the next almost twenty years of his creative career, the artist has participated in more than 20 local and international exhibitions: in Ukraine – Kiev, in the United Kingdom – London, Cambridge and Edinburgh, in Germany – Kassel, in Russia – Moscow, in the USA – Chicago, in Estonia – Tallinn and Kuressaare. His works can be found in museums and private collections in European countries, the USA, and Canada.
