A member of the Estonian Artists' Union and the Estonian Russian Artists' Association, Strahhov has been featured in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His annual solo exhibitions have been held in galleries and exhibition halls in Estonia and abroad. His works are in private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. Strahhov's works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance conservatism and experimentation, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeral boundaries, contain elusive textures and meanings that never fully open up. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions.

Known for his deep and vigorous coloring, Hugo Lepik's works reflect the Estonian landscapes and scenes from Sweden and Norway. In addition to landscapes, he also painted striking portraits. His exhibitions have graced the galleries of Riga, Kaunas (1937), Antwerp, Rome, Budapest (1939), Stockholm (1946), Montreal (1951), and various cities in Sweden.
