Strahhov Anatoli (s. 1946). Täiskuu (2023)

Artist: Anatoli Strahhov. This stunning piece, “Täiskuu”, is a blend of oil and tempera on canvas, measuring 35 x 35 cm. Signed by the artist, A. Strahhov, in 2023. Strahhov studied at the Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn. A member of the Estonian Artists’ Union and the Estonian Russian Artists’ Association, Strahhov has been featured in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His annual solo exhibitions have been held in galleries and exhibition halls in Estonia and abroad. His works are in private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. Strahhov’s works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance conservatism and experimentation, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeral boundaries, contain elusive textures and meanings that never fully open up. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions.
