Yuri TerSar (1928-2012) Night Sounds

Anatoli Strahhov: A Master of Texture and Meaning
Anatoli Strahhov (b. 1946) is a renowned collector and builder. His work, "Ehitaja" (2020), is a stunning piece of oil, tempera, collage, and canvas, measuring 41 x 68 cm. Strahhov studied at the Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn and is a member of the Estonian Artists' Union and the Estonian Russian Artists' Association. Since 1975, he has participated in national and international exhibitions. His annual solo exhibitions have been held in galleries and exhibition halls in Estonia and abroad. His works are housed in private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. Strahhov's works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance conservatism and experiment, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeralness on a strange border, contain elusive textures and meanings that never fully open. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions.
Burman, Karl the Younger (1914-2001). Saunas. (1941)
Karl Burman Jr., a luminary from a lineage of celebrated artists, brings to life this exquisite watercolor masterpiece. Hailing from an illustrious background, his father, Karl Burman Sr., was not only one of Estonia's revered architects but also a seasoned watercolourist. Similarly, his Uncle Paul Burman painted landscapes with an Impressionist touch and had an adept hand for animals and still lifes. Karl Jr., driven by a fervent passion for architecture, beautifully painted cityscapes and was particularly renowned for his watercolour technique during the 1950s-1970s. This piece titled "Saunas" from 1941 is a testament to his legacy and love for the art.
Loik, Valerian (1904 – 1986). View of Tolli Street. (1970 -s)
This unique artwork, "View of Tolli Street," captures a moment from the 1970s, meticulously crafted by Loik, Valerian using colored and black pencils on paper. Its dimensions are 24 x 17.4 cm. On its reverse, a confirmation from I. Lorberg validates that the work was indeed created by V. Loik. A piece that carries the authenticity and vision of an era gone by.
Gailit, Elvi (1931 – 1990). Lilac. (1981)

Maaser, Eduard (1916 – 1990). Landscape of Southern Estonia. (1950s)
Watercolour on paper, this beautiful piece titled "Landscape of Southern Estonia" was created by the renowned artist Eduard Maaser in the 1950s. Measuring 44 x 59 cm, it embodies Maaser's love for the landscapes of southern Estonia, expressed with masterful techniques in watercolors. Eduard Maaser, born in Russia in 1916, was an accomplished painter who graduated from the Tartu State Art Institute in 1948 and was the director of fine arts training courses at the Tartu Art Museum from 1961 to 1972. This piece stands as a reflection of his expertise and is a valuable addition to any collection.
Ruuser, Artur (1924-2007). Sunflower. (1981)
Watercolour on paper by renowned artist Artur Ruuser, dated 1981. Signed on the lower left as A. Ruuser 81.a. A.Ruuser graduated from Latvian Art in 1954 and subsequently worked in Riga. From 1979, he continued his artistic journey in Tallinn and became a respected member of the Union of Artists of Estonia.
Strahhov Anatoli (born1946). Evening Island. (2013)
