Burman, Karl the Younger (1914-2001). Tallinn. (1956)

This exquisite watercolour painting on paper by Karl Burman the Younger showcases his brilliant artistry and technique. Measuring 27.5 x 39 cm, the painting was signed by the artist himself in 1956. Burman's art education started in Tallinn under the tutelage of K. Winkler, then extended to Moscow's Stroganov School of Technical Drawing, and eventually to St. Petersburg's Shtiglits Art School. From 1902 to 1907, he studied architecture at the Petersburg Academy of Arts. His unique blend of artistic vision and architectural training is vividly depicted in this piece. Ideal for art enthusiasts and collectors, this piece reflects the pinnacle of Burman's career.

Watercolor painter, born in 1912 in Harjumaa, Loksa. Died in 2011. In 1930-1934 he studied trumpet at the Tallinn Conservatory.
From 1944 to 1951 he continued his studies at ERKI in painting with Johannes Grenberg and Lepo Mikko.
In 1958 he presented his first exhibition. In 1957-1958, his cartoons were published in the PIKKER magazine. Member of the Union of Estonian Artists since 1959. Participated in spring and autumn exhibitions in Tallinn, watercolor exhibitions in Tallinn and Moscow, watercolor triennial in Riga. A total of seven solo exhibitions. Worked as a freelancer. The main part of his work is landscape painting, mainly depicting the sea and autumn nature, he also cultivated composition and still life portraits. Soft, melting shades are used, achieved by mixing colors when wet.
Rita Talalaeva: A Journey Through Art and Architecture

Rita Talalaeva (b. 1965) is an architect, artist, and interior designer born in Saaremaa, Estonia. She received her education in Saratov, Russia, and currently lives and works in Estonia. Her works depict the natural beauty of the Volga banks, the expanses of the Baltic, and the charm of architecture. She has been working as an architect and graphic designer since 2000 and has been an interior designer for over 20 years. She has been a member of the Russian Designers Union since 2002 and has participated in various design competitions. She is the winner of the "Crystal House" in the nomination "Best Implemented Design Project 2004" and the owner of the diploma of the interior design competition "Italian Holidays 2012" of the chain of confectionery stores "PECHE MIGNON". She is the author of more than 20 implemented interior design projects of public spaces and private houses in Russia. She has been living and working in Estonia since 2020 and is a member of the SAAREMAA ART CLUB. She has participated in art exhibitions in Russia and annual exhibitions of Saaremaa artists. Her personal exhibition "Colors of Saaremaa" was held in 2020. She is the diploma holder of the competition "New Reality" 2021.

Leškin, Viktor (1914-1998). Yellow tulips. (1983) is a beautiful oil painting on cardboard, signed "Leškin 83" at the lower right. On the reverse, it's inscribed with "Viktor Leškin s. 1914a. Teostatud 1989 a. „kollased tьlpid” nr 3." This piece reflects Viktor Leškin's impressive talent in landscape artistry, which made him notable in the 1950s and 1960s. Graduating from the Estonian State Art Institute in 1949, he gained recognition for his fresh and picturesque landscapes that were prominently displayed in many exhibitions of the era.
Ernst Hallop (1908 –1980): Talumaja looduses (1960)

Ernst Hallop (1908 –1980) was a renowned painter born in Gatšina and passed away in Tallinn. He studied under A. Vabbe at "Pallas" from 1926-34 and further honed his skills in England, France, and Italy. He then worked as a freelance artist in Võru, Tallinn, during the war in Chelyabinsk and Moscow, and from 1945 onwards, again in Estonia. However, he also embarked on long creative journeys to Russia, especially to its northern regions and Siberia. He mastered pastel and oil painting, chalk and charcoal drawing, and monotype. His preferred genres were landscape and portrait. His works have been exhibited in Viljandi, Riga, and Kaunas. The piece "Talumaja looduses" (1960) is a pastel on paper, measuring 32.4 x 45.7 cm, signed E. Hallop 60 on the bottom left.

Jaan Tuuling graduated from the Estonian State Institute of Art in 1961 with a degree in painting. He has worked as an art teacher in an art school in Tallinn and also as an artist of advertising posters. Jaan Tuuling was a member of the Estonian Art Foundation. He participated in several exhibitions both in Estonia and abroad. His works are highly regarded and are mostly found in private collections around the world, including in Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, France, Finland and the United States.
