Born in Kiev in 1968, Dobrovolsky is a highly accomplished painter who graduated as a designer from the local High School for Applied Art and Design, and later as a painter-monumentalist from the State Academy of Figurative Art and Architecture. Under the guidance of well-known painters-academicians V.Zabashty and V.Storozhenko, he became a member of the Union of Ukrainian Artists in 1998.
