Arnold Alas (1911 – 1990) was a renowned artist known for his work "Sügisene päev" (1959). His art, characterized by large color surfaces and precise light-dark ratios, even with a relatively sparse color selection, is a testament to his mastery. Alas graduated from the State Art Industrial School in 1933, initially specializing in decorative painting. He later studied time and park design and taught the latter at ERKI. He also served as the head of the drawing department. Alas was a representative of the Tallinn school in Estonian painting. His work "Sügisene päev" is an oil on canvas piece, measuring 56 x 66 cm, and is signed "A. Alas 59" at the bottom right.

Artist: Anatoli Strahhov. This stunning piece, "Täiskuu", is a blend of oil and tempera on canvas, measuring 35 x 35 cm. Signed by the artist, A. Strahhov, in 2023. Strahhov studied at the Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn. A member of the Estonian Artists' Union and the Estonian Russian Artists' Association, Strahhov has been featured in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His annual solo exhibitions have been held in galleries and exhibition halls in Estonia and abroad. His works are in private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. Strahhov's works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance conservatism and experimentation, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeral boundaries, contain elusive textures and meanings that never fully open up. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions.

He honed his painting skills in both Berlin and Rostock before settling in West Germany from 1950.
