Born in Munich, Paul Braig is a French painter. Paul Braig studied at the Munich Academy and in 1923-1924 at the Bauhaus in Dessau under Kandinsky and Klee, then in France at the rich and powerful school of Roger Bissière. His movement - Expressionism. But according to critic Gérald Schurr, it is Expressionism that is endowed with "a certain tenderness and oriental sensuality". To this can be added his free, skillful brushstrokes, which often made him a remarkable portraitist and a highly sought-after poster artist. He was rightly considered the Courbet of our time – modernized, that is! Working in France, Italy and other countries.
Anishchenko Vladimir (born 1965). The Smell of the Sea. (2020)
Vladimir Anishchenko's exquisite oil painting "The Smell of the Sea" (2020) manifests his passionate devotion to nature. Born in 1965 in Orsha, Vitebsk region of Belarus, he graduated from the Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute in 1993. Dead Island, a 1940s copy of a painting by Arnold Böcklin, represents a beautiful blend of watercolour, ink, and paper by Alex Kütt. The artwork measures 24.3 x 32 cm, with the inscription "Surnute saar koopia A. Kütt" on the lower left and "A.Böcklin" on the lower right. Alex Kütt, an influential figure from 1945 to 1985 at the Art Academy of Estonia, is renowned for his experimentation with different engraving techniques and thematic portrayals, ranging from landscapes to industrial motifs. This piece, showcasing his decorative style, embodies his love for fishermen, sports, and war.

His contribution to the unique culture of ethnic Setu is manifested in his foundation of the museum in Seth Saatse.
