Evald Sagur (1922 - 1987) was a renowned artist known for his mastery in watercolor painting. His work, "Rannamaastik kividega" (1977), is a beautiful representation of his skill and creativity. This piece, an aqua-relief on paper, measures 33 x 47 cm and is signed by the artist himself. Sagur completed his education at the State Industrial School in 1940 and later graduated from the Tallinn State Institute of Applied Art in 1950. He worked as a lecturer at ERKI and then at the Cinematography Main Administration. He began exhibiting his work in 1960, designed posters, and contributed as a designer to the Pioneer magazine. He was a member of the Artists' Union from 1962. His first solo exhibition took place in 1963 at the Sõprus cinema in Tallinn. His works are characterized by their vibrant and decorative nature.
