Uiga, Johannes (1918 – 1998). Flowers. (1978)
Johannes Uiga, the renowned Estonian artist, presents "Flowers" (1978), a stunning oil on cardboard painting. Measuring 27.8 x 22.5 cm, this piece captures the essence of South Estonian landscapes. Gouache and charcoal on thick cardboard, this striking 19th-century painting, "Old City in North Africa," was crafted by Ippolito Caffi during his Mediterranean voyage. Known for his romantic landscapes, Caffi was a prominent figure in the Italian art scene and a freedom fighter for Italy. The painting, measuring 28.7 x 23.3 cm, features a lower right red Arabic script (monogram) as a distinct touch. Caffi's fascination with diverse landscapes took him to various regions, leading him to produce works like Carnival at Venice, Panorama of Rome from Monte Mario, and more. Maaser, Eduard (1916 – 1990). Sitting Woman. (1946/47)

Evald Sagur’s Watercolor Painting
Artist Evald Sagur, a renowned Estonian painter, presents a beautiful watercolor painting on paper, measuring 33 x 47 cm. The artwork is signed by the artist himself as 'E. Sagur 75'. Sagur completed his education from the State Industrial School in 1940 and later graduated from the Tallinn State Institute of Applied Art in 1950, specializing in painting. He has worked as a lecturer at ERKI and later at the Cinematography Main Administration. He started participating in art exhibitions from 1960, designed posters, and contributed as a designer to the Pioneer magazine. He became a member of the Artists' Union in 1962. His first solo exhibition took place in 1963 at the Sõprus cinema in Tallinn. Sagur was known for his mastery in watercolor painting, often showcasing his works in exhibitions. His works are characterized by their vibrant and decorative style.

This watercolour on paper, measuring 28.2 x 18.4 cm, reflects Mei's deep connection to theatre, with her extraordinary work extending to renowned productions like "Romeo and Juliet," "Boris Godunov," "Princess Turandot," and "Carmen." With delicate strokes and an expert understanding of form, the piece conveys Mei's unique style and captures a moment in the theatrical world that continues to inspire. It is signed in the upper left as "Mariza."
Mei, Natalie (1900 – 1975). Sketch for a Costume. (1930s)
Watercolour on paper, this stunning piece by Natalie Mei, entitled "Sketch for a Costume" (1930s), measures 37 x 24.8 cm and is signed lower right by Kretschmar "Pidulik marss". Natalie Mei, a renowned Estonian graphics and theatrical designer, was educated at "Pallas" Art School under N.Triik and worked at the “Estonia” Theatre. Her significant works include costume designs for operas such as "Romeo and Juliet", "Boris Godunov", "Princess Turandot", "Carmen" and more. This sketch is part of her contribution to H.Kreushmars' "Ceremonial March" and represents a unique piece of theatrical history.
