This 28 x 38 piece exhibits the virtuosity and refined technique that he was renowned for. As one of the most distinguished watercolourists from the 1950s to the 1970s, Karl Burman Jr. captured mesmerizing cityscapes and was an avid participant in the architecture scene. Having studied at the University of Tartu, the Tallinn Institute of Technology, and the Moscow Art Institute, his art education was enriched by his father Karl Burman senior and uncle Paul Burman. Karl Burman the Younger's significant role as an organizer of the Union of Estonian Artists in Yaroslavl in 1943 adds to his historical contribution to the field of art.
Loik, Valerian (1904 – 1986). Fish. (1949)

Watercolour and gouache on paper, this stunning artwork "Fish" (1949) by Valerian Loik depicts the artist's passion for fishing. Measuring 33.5 x 40 cm, it is signed by Loik and dated 18.IV 49. Valerian Loik, a Professor at the Estonian State Art Institute since 1967, was a master of pictorial compositions, city views, and still lifes. This particular piece exemplifies his virtuosity in capturing the image of fish. He graduated from the Pallas Art School in 1935 and later improved his skills in Paris. Teaching at the State Art Institute from 1950 to 1976, his works can be found in numerous museum collections. The painting has participated in various exhibitions in Estonia, the Baltic States, Moscow, and all-Union exhibitions.
Maaser, Eduard (1916 – 1990). Kind on Kunda. (1943)

His works capture the essence of southern Estonia, and his legacy continues through various exhibitions. Aleksander Pilar (1912 – 1989) – “Lilled aknal” (1956)

Aleksander Pilar (1912 – 1989) was a renowned artist known for his mastery in watercolor painting. His work, "Lilled aknal" (1956), is a testament to his skill and artistic vision. This piece, measuring 29.4 x 22 cm, is a beautiful watercolor on paper that showcases Pilar's talent for capturing the beauty of everyday life. The artist's signature, A.Pilar 56, is located on the bottom right of the piece. Pilar studied in A. Kaigorodov's painting studio and later at the State Art Industrial School from 1938-41. He served as the responsible secretary of the Artists' Union from 1959-62 and 1969-71. Recognized as a skilled watercolorist, Pilar's portfolio includes landscapes, cityscapes, still lifes, and portraits.
Kimm Ilmar (1920 – 2011): A Journey Through Art and Education
Kimm Ilmar, a renowned artist, was born in 1920 and passed away in 2011. He completed his art studies in the I. Repin Art Institute in 1948, specializing in painting. From 1948 to 1951, he was a faculty member at the Tartu State Art Institute and from 1952 to 1988, he taught at ERKI in Tallinn (from 1954 as an associate professor, from 1965 as a professor, from 1963 to 1983 as the head of the painting department, and from 1983 to 1988 as a consulting professor). Kimm Ilmar has practiced all painting genres, with a particular focus on historical and work-themed figure compositions and portraits. His artwork "Rand" (1982) is an oil on canvas painting, measuring 54 x 73 cm. The signature "I. Kimm 82" can be found on the bottom right of the painting.

He became a member of the Artists Union in 1945 and started participating in shows from 1929. Nigul Espe's works have been exhibited in cities like Riga, Rome, and Budapest. This particular landscape is a remarkable piece, painted with free strokes, showcasing one of Nigul Espe's best works.
