Hübner, Carl Wilhelm (1814 – 1879). Mother with the Child. (1840 – 50s)

This exquisite oil painting on a zinc plate by the known Düsseldorf artist, Carl Wilhelm Hübner, showcases a touching scene: "Mother with the Child." Created during the period of 1840-50s, the artwork possesses the signature CH at the lower right and "Carl Hübner" on the reverse. Lepik, Hugo (1905 – 2001). Winter in Sweden. (1952)

Hugo Lepik's "Winter in Sweden" (1952) is a captivating oil on canvas painting that exhibits the artist's deep and vigorous coloring. Measuring 50.3 x 61.5 cm, this masterpiece reflects Lepik's affinity for landscapes, notably those of Estonia, Sweden, and Norway. The signature "H.Lepik 1952" is present on the lower left. After graduating from the State Industrial and Art School in 1929, Lepik enhanced his skills in countries like Germany, Italy, Finland, and Canada. He emigrated to Sweden in 1944. Besides landscapes, he excelled in painting portraits. His works have been showcased in various cities including Riga, Kaunas, Antwerp, Rome, Budapest, Stockholm, Montreal, and across Sweden.
Greenberg, Johannes (1887 – 1951). Female portrait, the left profile. (1920-s)

This exquisite oil painting, "Female portrait, the left profile" (1920s), by the renowned Estonian artist Johannes Greenberg, reflects his mastery over style and color. Created with detailed precision, the portrait showcases the artistry typical of Greenberg's works in the 1920s. Greenberg's artistic journey began in 1904 when he joined Ants Laikmaa School-studio and continued his training in Germany until 1913. Living in Tallinn since 1920, he visited various European countries and worked as a drawing teacher, independent artist, lecturer, and restorer. This painting is part of the Ilmar Ojalo collection, reflecting a collaboration between Greenberg and the restorer. Even though it's not finished, the style and coloring are definitive of Greenberg's work from this period.

He was born in 1968 in Kiev, graduated from the Institute of Applied Arts and Design there in 1988 as an artist-designer, and in 1994 – from the State Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture as a monumental painter. His teachers were well-known painters-academicians V.Zabaštõ, V.Storoženko. Since 1998 he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
D.Dobrovolsky’s first solo exhibition took place in Kiev in 1994. Over the next almost twenty years of his creative career, the artist has participated in more than 20 local and international exhibitions: in Ukraine – Kiev, in the United Kingdom – London, Cambridge and Edinburgh, in Germany – Kassel, in Russia – Moscow, in the USA – Chicago, in Estonia – Tallinn and Kuressaare. His works can be found in museums and private collections in European countries, the USA, and Canada.
Vegesack, Rupprecht von (1917- 1976). Seacoast. (1938)

Oil on cardboard artwork titled "Seacoast" by the renowned Baltic-German painter Rupprecht von Vegesack, dating from 1938. The piece, measuring 50 x 68, is signed on the lower right as "R.Vegesack 76". Born in Tartus, Rupprecht moved to Germany during his early years. He honed his painting skills in both Berlin and Rostock before settling in West Germany from 1950. Known for his realistic style in both painting and drawing, he lived until his passing in Maasholmis.
Strahhov Anatoli (s. 1946). Roheline vaikus I (2023)

Artist: Anatoli Strahhov, born in 1946, is a renowned artist who studied at Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn. Strahhov is a member of the Estonian Artists' Union and the Estonian Russian Artists' Association. He has been exhibiting in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His annual solo exhibitions have been held in galleries and exhibition halls in Estonia and abroad. His works are in private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. Strahhov's works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance conservatism and experiment, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeralness on a strange border, contain elusive textures and meanings, never fully opening. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions. The artwork "Roheline Vaikus I" is an oil and tempera on canvas, measuring 55 x 70 cm, and is signed by the artist, A. Strahhov, in 2023.
