Studied in Tartu from 1906 to 1909 under P. Myunhhen and in K. Raud’s Studio then continued his studies in St.Petersburg from 1910 to 1920 (Studio of V.Mate’ in 1915 and 1916, under A.Rylov in 1918). As a grant – aided student he got the opportunity to travel to Vienna.
Arnold Vihvelin participated in many exhibitions in Estonia, Russia, Germany and Finland.

Anne Parmasto, born in 1952, is a renowned artist known for her unique neopop style. She graduated from ERKI in 1981 with a qualification in theatre decoration. Parmasto's work is characterized by her distinctive use of color and she has also painted in a more traditional style. She has received numerous awards for her work. Her art can be found in the Estonian Art Museum, Tartu Art Museum, and private collections in Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Luxembourg, France, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, the USA, Russia, and more. The piece "Vananaiste suvi. August (2016)" is an oil on canvas painting, measuring 27 x 35 cm, signed AP on the bottom right.
