Born in 1921 in Leningrad and later moving to Estonia, Fuks's career in art is expansive. Having worked in different schools and studios and being a member of the Union of Artists of Estonia since 1955, Fuks has illustrated numerous books for children and youth, textbooks, magazines, newspapers, created posters, city landscapes, still-lifes, and portraits. In 1947, Fuks became the author of the sketch of a badge and a breastplate for the First Holiday of a Song in the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic.
