Gerhardt, H. German artist of the early XX century.

Grimm, Heimer (1913 – 1985). Seaside in Egypt. (1965)
"Seaside in Egypt" is a captivating representation of the Egyptian coastline, rendered by the accomplished German artist, Grimm Heimer. This piece, painted in 1965, stands as a testament to Heimer's skill and eye for detail. Painted on masonite, it showcases a unique blend of color and form. Heimer's intriguing history is rich with experiences. Notably, he studied under the renowned Paul Klee at the Munich Academy of Art. Despite the challenges of his time, including being a propaganda-drawer during WWII and being taken prisoner by the Americans, Heimer's artistic spirit remained undeterred. Later, during his stay in the US between 1959 and 1962, he painted the portraits of presidents D. Eisenhower and J. Kennedy. This artwork, "Seaside in Egypt", draws inspiration from his trip to Egypt in 1965. Furthermore, Heimer's acclaim was cemented when Walther Scheel, President of the SFV, visited him in Wunsiedel in 1976. Rendered on masonite, its dimensions measure 45 x 60 cm, and it is distinctly signed in the lower right corner with "48. O. Paas". Otto Paas, a significant name in 20th-century art, had to emigrate to Sweden in 1944 to continue his artistic journey. His foundational education was at "Pallas" between 1938-1944, after which he sought further enhancement in Paris by 1954. With his works being showcased in various exhibitions across Sweden and the United States, this piece stands as a testament to his unique vision and undying passion for art.
Strahhov, Anatoli (s. 1946). Kardin (2023)
Artist: Anatoli Strahhov. This stunning piece, "Kardin", is a blend of oil and tempera on canvas, measuring 27 x 35 cm. Signed by the artist, A. Strahhov, in 2023. Strahhov studied at the Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn. A member of the Estonian Artists' Union and the Estonian Russian Artists' Association, Strahhov has been featured in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance conservatism and experiment, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeral boundaries. His works are part of private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions.
Lucke, E. (German XX century. artist). Wave. (1950s)

Born in 1931 and passing away in 1990, Gailit's artistic journey was remarkable, marked by deportation with her family to Russia in 1949. Her education in art began at the Irkutsk Art School from 1955 to 1957, followed by studies at Tartu Art School. After returning to Estonia, she continued her education at the National Academy of Arts, graduating in 1965. This piece, signed in the lower right as E. Gailit, reflects her masterful technique and a deep passion for still life. It adds both aesthetic and historical value to any collection.
