Strahhov, Anatoli (s. 1946). Gamla Hikaböle (2021)

Artist: Anatoli Strahhov. This stunning piece, “Gamla Hikaböle”, is a blend of oil and tempera on canvas, measuring 55 x 70 cm. Signed by the artist, A. Strahhov, in 2021. Strahhov studied at the Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn. A member of the Estonian Artists’ Union and the Estonian Russian Artists’ Association, Strahhov has been featured in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His works, which skillfully create the impression of various materials and textures, balance conservatism and experiment, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeral boundaries. His works are part of private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia.
