Henn Sarap (1906 – 1972) was a master of graphic techniques, creating new mixed techniques by combining them. He received his art education in graphics and sculpture at “Pallas” from 1924-31. After his studies at “Pallas”, he furthered his education in Berlin and Leipzig in 1937. Sarap practiced both free, book and applied graphics as well as exlibris and poster art. His favorite genres in free graphics were landscape and city views, and portraits. He was characterized by a sensitive perception of nature and the ability to capture character. Lithography was one of the most beloved graphic techniques in the 1960s, as it preserved the freshness inherent in drawing. His work “Viadukt” (1960) is an autolithograph on paper, measuring 54 x 72 cm. Exhibitions from 1929.
