Artist: Evald Sagur, a renowned artist who completed his education from the State Industrial School in 1940 and the Tallinn State Institute of Applied Art in 1950. He has worked as a lecturer at ERKI and later at the Cinematography Main Administration. He started exhibiting at art exhibitions in 1960. Sagur designed posters and contributed as a designer to the Pioneer magazine. He has been a member of the Artists’ Union since 1962. His first solo exhibition took place in 1963 at the Sõprus cinema in Tallinn. He practiced watercolor painting, which he mastered well. He exhibited at exhibitions with watercolors, mastered this technique at a good level, which were colorful decorative works. The artwork is a watercolor on paper, measuring 33 x 47 cm, signed at the bottom right – E. Sagur 79.
