Watercolour painting titled “Apples” (1946) by renowned artist August Pulst (1889 – 1977). Created using premium watercolours on high-quality paper, the painting measures 26 x 43 cm and is signed “A. Pulst 1946” at the lower left corner. August Pulst acquired his artistic education at Riga Art School from 1911-15 under the guidance of V. Purvitis, V. Tillbergs, and B. Borchert. He worked in the “Estonia” theatre as a decorator between 1915-17, later contributing to folklore collection and the founding of Estonian museums. Exhibited since 1919, his works mainly include watercolours and oil paintings of landscapes, flowers, and views of old town, often bearing an ethnographical touch.
