Erich Pehap (1912-1981) – “Vaade linna raamatukogust, Tartu” (1977)

Erich Pehap (1912-1981) is a renowned artist known for his unique style and exceptional talent. His work, “Vaade linna raamatukogust, Tartu” (1977), is a stunning lithograph in blue tone, measuring 71 x 53 cm. The piece is signed on the right as E. Pehap 1977 and numbered on the left as 18/18. Pehap studied painting under N. Triigi and graphics under A. Laigo and R. Vaher at “Pallas”, graduating in 1939. During the war, he moved to Finland, then Sweden, and settled in Toronto in 1949. He was a member of several international art associations, such as the International Institute of Arts and Letters (Switzerland), World Print Council (USA), and an honorary member of the Academia Internazionale di Roma, among others. He has received numerous awards for his work.
