Erich Pehap’s masterpiece “The Bared” (1934) captures a unique artistic vision, rendered in charcoal on paper. Measuring 95 x 68 cm, this exquisite piece was signed “E. P. – 34” in the lower right. Pehap’s education at the “Pallas” Art School under mentors like N. Triik in painting and A. Laigo and P. Vaher in drawing, played a significant role in his artistic development. After emigrating to various countries, he graduated from the Montreal Institute of Design in 1952. Pehap achieved international success, winning awards and having his works displayed in museums and private collections across Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and other nations. He was an honorary member of prestigious academies and participated in numerous art associations and exhibitions in Canada, the USA, and many European countries.
