The reverse shows a still life with a bouquet of tulips.

 

Voldemar Mölder graduated in 1936 from the “Pallas” Art School in Tartu where he had been a pupil of the outstanding artist Nikolai Triik. Then he improved in Paris, Berlin, Dresden.

He worked until 1965 as stage decorator of the theatre in Rakvere.

Exhibitions: Tartu, Riga Kaunas.

Numerous works by Melder are in the Theater and Music Museum.

The flower painting on the back may have been painted shortly after the completion of the main piece.
