Maaser Eduard. (1916 – 1990). Luke maastik. (1944)

Maaser Eduard (1916 – 1990) presents his magnificent piece, “Luke maastik” (1944), a beautiful watercolor painting on paper measuring 32 x 44.6 cm. Created on the 14th of August, 1944, and signed “Luke Ed. Maaser” on the reverse, this landscape artwork captures the essence of southern Estonia. Eduard Maaser, a prominent artist, studied under the guidance of the teachers of Pallas and graduated from the Tartu State Art Institute in 1948. Over the years, he shifted his focus to watercolors, immortalizing landscapes, still lifes, and flowers. This piece is a part of his study at the Tartu State Art Institute and exemplifies the artistic tradition of Pallas.
