Etching on paper by Richard Kaljo, titled “The Armenians” (1947), captures the creativity and beauty of the Armenian landscape, as seen by the artist during a mission in 1946. Inspired by a series of ink drawings made in Armenia, Kaljo created this series of etchings in 1947. A graduate of the “Pallas” Art School, Kaljo was mentored by A.Laigo and R.Vakher, and is widely recognized for his landscapes, nudes, and other exquisite compositions. His mastery in drawing and exceptional skills in book illustrations have made him a renowned figure in the art world.
