Jõerüüt, Helga (1925–2011). Bog. (1980s)

Monotype by Helga Jõerüüt, co-student of J. Sooster at the “Pallas” in Tartu (1943 – 1951), graduated from the Tallinn Art Institute in 1951. She is renowned for her mastery in watercolor and monotype techniques. This large-format monotype, titled “Bog” and created in the 1980s, showcases subtle nuances. Jõerüüt’s precision and prediction of the result can be seen as she worked on the plate, portraying the spacious northern landscape with its harsh and captivating beauty. Signed lower right by H.
