Hand colored etchings on paper by the renowned German illustrator Kurt Hilscher, titled “Menuet” from the period 1920-30. The etching is marked with “Menuett” and signed as orig.Rad.aquarelliat on the lower left, while the lower right bears the artist’s signature. Kurt Hilscher (1904–1980) gained prominence through his studies at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and his subsequent influence by leading artists of his time. His work, often laced with satire, and influenced by the Art Deco style, includes motifs of circus and burlesque performers. He also made significant contributions to graphics for advertising purposes, such as brochures, magazine covers, and book covers.
