Karl Burman Jr., a luminary from a lineage of celebrated artists, brings to life this exquisite watercolor masterpiece. Hailing from an illustrious background, his father, Karl Burman Sr., was not only one of Estonia’s revered architects but also a seasoned watercolourist. Similarly, his Uncle Paul Burman painted landscapes with an Impressionist touch and had an adept hand for animals and still lifes. Karl Jr., driven by a fervent passion for architecture, beautifully painted cityscapes and was particularly renowned for his watercolour technique during the 1950s-1970s. This piece titled “Saunas” from 1941 is a testament to his legacy and love for the art.
