Presenting a refined work of art from the eminent artist, Adamson-Eric, titled “Two Girls” (1943). Crafted with the precise use of pencil and colour pencil on cardboard, this piece measures 15.1 x 9 cm. Signed by the artist at the lower right corner, this artwork reflects the aesthetic principles of the French painting school, which Adamson-Eric championed in the Estonian art scene. His artistry bloomed during his time at the Supreme Art School “Pallas,” and his time in Paris and Berlin further enhanced his skills. Living in Paris till 1932, Adamson-Eric’s work significantly contributed to the Estonian art scene from the late 1920s. Notably, he designed sketches for costumes for the Estonian Art Ensembles theatre group in Jaroslavl during wartime.
