Rita Talalaeva: Artist, Architect, and Interior Designer

Rita Talalaeva (b. 1965) is a renowned artist, architect, and interior designer born in Saaremaa, Estonia. She received her education in Saratov, Russia, and currently lives and works in Estonia. Her works beautifully depict the nature of the Volga banks, the expanses of the Baltic, and the charm of architecture. She has been a member of the Russian Designers Union since 2002 and has participated in various design competitions. She has been the author of more than 20 public space and private home interior design projects in Russia. Since 2020, she has been living and working in Estonia and is a member of the SAAREMAA ART CLUB. She has participated in art exhibitions in Russia and annual exhibitions of Saaremaa artists. Her personal exhibition "Colors of Saaremaa" was held in 2020. She is a diploma holder of the "New Reality" competition in 2021.
Weise, Aleksander (1883 – 1960). Mountains in the Winter. (1930 – 40s)

Measuring 70 x 80, the artwork showcases a distinctive signature "Alex Weise" on the lower left. Born in Odessa, Aleksander Weise honed his artistic skills at the Munich Academy under the tutelage of Angelo Janki, and later in Paris with Jean-Paul Lawrence. By the 1930s, Weise had garnered significant popularity, with his masterpieces gracing the Reich offices. Furthermore, he was revered as one of Adolf Hitler's favorite artists.

Viktor Leškin graduated from the State Art and Industrial School in 1936 with a degree in decorative painting and from the Tallinn State Institute of Applied Arts in 1949 with a degree in sculpture, but he has nevertheless become known as a painter. Leškin's paintings from different decades have a very wide range of themes and are in several different genres. A cross-section of his work is diverse - from documenting views of urban and industrial landscapes to emotional bouquets of field flowers. A common feature in Viktor Leškin's painting heritage is a realistic style that accompanies his oil paintings, charcoal drawings and watercolors.
Maaser, Eduard (1916 – 1990). Rannik Kunda lähedal. (1946)

Watercolour painting on paper titled "Rannik Kunda lähedal" (1946) by Eduard Maaser. This work reflects the artist's focus on landscapes, especially those of southern Estonia, and is part of his tradition of study under the guidance of Pallas teachers. Measuring 49.6 x 68.5 cm, the piece is signed "Ed. Maaser Kunda, 20. VIII 1946 ja pliiatsiga." Eduard Maaser, born in 1916 in Russia and later graduated from the Tartu State Art Institute in 1948, went on to become a notable painter, working mainly with watercolors and oils. He was also the director of fine arts training courses at the Tartu Art Museum from 1961 to 1972.

Artist: Anatoli Strahhov, born in 1946, is a renowned artist who studied at the Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn. Strahhov is a member of the Estonian Artists' Union and the Estonian Russian Artists' Association. He has been exhibiting in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His annual solo exhibitions have been held in both Estonian and foreign galleries and exhibition halls. His works are in private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. Strahhov's works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance conservatism and experiment, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeral border, contain elusive textures and meanings, never fully opening. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions. The artwork "Intuitid" is an oil and tempera on canvas, measuring 35 x 35 cm, and is signed A. Strahhov 2021 in the lower right corner.
