Painter and graphic artist Hugo Lepik successfully graduated from the State School of Art and Design in 1929, majoring in graphic design and lithography. He was also a student of G. Reindorff. In 1935, H. Lepik furthered his studies at the Higher School of Graphic Design in Berlin.18 In 1929, he began working as a lecturer at the State School of Art and Design, where he remained until 1940. From 1929, Hugo Lepik worked intensively in the field of book graphics and contributed to magazines (e.g. cover designs and drawings for the magazine Sõdur (1929 and 1933) and cover designs for the magazines Kaitse Kodu! (1929) and Taluperenaine (1939)). He drew beautiful vignettes for the magazine Varamu (1938), which were repeated from issue to issue. Hugo Lepik's style is graphically correct and graphically subtle. The vignettes mostly depict nature motifs. The title design for the 2nd issue of the magazine Eesti Noorus in 1938 consists of a regular antique script and an ethnographic floral ornament, which is resolved in a manner typical of the era and school.
Kimm Ilmar (1920 – 2011): A Journey Through Art and Education
Kimm Ilmar, a renowned artist, was born in 1920 and passed away in 2011. He completed his art studies in the I. Repin Art Institute in 1948, specializing in painting. From 1948 to 1951, he was a faculty member at the Tartu State Art Institute and from 1952 to 1988, he taught at ERKI in Tallinn (from 1954 as an associate professor, from 1965 as a professor, from 1963 to 1983 as the head of the painting department, and from 1983 to 1988 as a consulting professor). Kimm Ilmar has practiced all painting genres, with a particular focus on historical and work-themed figure compositions and portraits. His artwork "Rand" (1982) is an oil on canvas painting, measuring 54 x 73 cm. The signature "I. Kimm 82" can be found on the bottom right of the painting.
Nõmmik, Juhan (1902 – 1975). South Coast in France (1963)

The painter, who died in 1975 in Saltsjobaden near Stockholm, had finished the “Pallas” Art School in Tartu in 1929. His inclination towards the French colourism is obvious in his early work already and became clearer during his Swedish period. This watercolour has been painted on the trip to Provence in 1963.
Gailit, Elvi (1931 – 1990). Still life. (1980s)
Experience the enchanting beauty of "Still life" (1980s) by the acclaimed Estonian artist Elvi Gailit (1931 – 1990). This oil on cardboard painting, measuring 60 x 41, captures the subtle elegance of floral still-life, a genre the artist passionately embraced. Elvi Gailit's artistry reflects her intriguing life journey. Deported to Russia in 1949, she studied at the Irkutsk Art School from 1955 to 1957. Returning to Estonia, Gailit pursued further studies at Tartu Art School and the National Academy of Arts, graduating in 1965. Own a piece of art that's rich in history and beauty.
Dücker, Marie (1847 – 1934). Hunting Trophy . (1900 – 1910s)
Oil painting on cardboard by Marie Dücker, depicting a "Hunting Trophy" from the early 1900s. It's signed on the lower right with the initials "MD". On the reverse, an intriguing note suggests a connection to Mary Bliebernicht, wife of the renowned brewery owner in Pärnu, Artur Bliebernicht. Marie Dücker, younger sister to the esteemed landscape artist Eugene Ducker, was a product of the Düsseldorf Art Academy. Her works, especially still life, were renowned in Pärnu where she both lived and taught. Notably, her art was showcased at the inaugural Pärnu art exhibition in 1901 and the Baltic Union of Artists exhibit in 1911. Critics of her time regarded her works as some of the most captivating and precious at these exhibitions.
Vasul-Peil, Merike (born 1944). Flowers.(1975)
The exquisite oil painting on cardboard by Merike Vasul-Peil stands out for its vibrant detailing and professional-level artistry. Signed "M. Vasul-Peil.75" at the bottom left, its decorative nature is a testament to the artist's unparalleled skill. The reverse side is also marked "Lilled. 1975 A." as a signature of the masterpiece titled "Flowers." A perfect embodiment of Merike Vasul-Peil's 1975 collection.
Pavel, Louis (1915 – 1977). Uderna maastik. (1954)

Viidalepp, Helvi (1921 – 1979). Potilill. (1970)
This exquisite oil painting on canvas, titled "Potilill" and created in 1970 by renowned artist Helvi Viidalepp, measures 35.5 x 27.5 cm. It is signed on the lower left as "H. Viidalepp.1970." Helvi Viidalepp, the first wife of Ants Viidaleppa and the daughter of the artist August Roosileht, graduated in 1948 from the Tartu State Art Institute as a student of J. Võerahansu. Known for her intricate landscapes and still lifes, her work embodies a profound connection with nature. "Potilill" is a beautiful example of her mastery, capturing the essence of life's simplicity through her brush strokes.
