Kongo, Alfred. (1906 – 1990). Mountain Ash. (1985)

Lembit Saarts (1924 -2016): “Kuused liival” (Pines on Sand)
Lembit Saarts (1924 -2016) was a renowned artist known for his distinctive, abstract, bright and airy style of painting. Born in Tartumaa in 1924, Saarts studied at the Tartu Higher Courses of Visual Arts from 1942-44 and at the Tartu State Art Institute from 1944-48. He has been exhibiting his work since 1958 and held personal exhibitions at the Tallinn Art Salon in 1971 and the Tartu Art Museum in 1974. A member of the KL since 1959, Saarts has painted portraits, landscapes, and compositions, including non-figurative ones. His work "Kuused liival" (Pines on Sand) from the 1950s is a typical example of his style. The painting is oil on paper, measuring 13.8 x 20 cm, and comes from the artist's family collection.
Bogatkin Vladimir (1922 – 1971). Town in Germany. (1960s)
This striking piece by Bogatkin Vladimir Valerjanovich, entitled "Town in Germany," captures a vivid scene from the 1960s. Rendered in charcoal, watercolor, and paper, the artist's technique reflects his training at the prestigious Art School at the All-Russia Academy of Arts in Leningrad (1936 - 1940). Grimm, Heimer (1913 – 1985). Seaside in Egypt. (1965)
"Seaside in Egypt" is a captivating representation of the Egyptian coastline, rendered by the accomplished German artist, Grimm Heimer. This piece, painted in 1965, stands as a testament to Heimer's skill and eye for detail. Painted on masonite, it showcases a unique blend of color and form. Heimer's intriguing history is rich with experiences. Notably, he studied under the renowned Paul Klee at the Munich Academy of Art. Despite the challenges of his time, including being a propaganda-drawer during WWII and being taken prisoner by the Americans, Heimer's artistic spirit remained undeterred. Later, during his stay in the US between 1959 and 1962, he painted the portraits of presidents D. Eisenhower and J. Kennedy. This artwork, "Seaside in Egypt", draws inspiration from his trip to Egypt in 1965. Furthermore, Heimer's acclaim was cemented when Walther Scheel, President of the SFV, visited him in Wunsiedel in 1976.
