Ruuser, Artur (1924-2007). Sunflower. (1981)
Watercolour on paper by renowned artist Artur Ruuser, dated 1981. Signed on the lower left as A. Ruuser 81.a. A.Ruuser graduated from Latvian Art in 1954 and subsequently worked in Riga. From 1979, he continued his artistic journey in Tallinn and became a respected member of the Union of Artists of Estonia.
Kangro-Pool, Voldemar (1889 – 1943). Mehe portree. (1915)
Experience the stunning artistry of Valdemar Kangro-Pool in his work "Kangro-Pool, Voldemar (1889 – 1943). Mehe portree. (1915)." Crafted with delicate pastel on cardboard, this artwork exudes a sense of timeless elegance. Measuring at 41.5 x 30.5 cm, it is signed by the artist in the lower right as "Wold. Kangro-Pool. IX.1915." Valdemar Kangro-Pool's artistic formation began in Kristjan Raud's studio during 1907-1909, followed by studies in Munich at Anton Azhbe's art school and in Paris at the «Ecoles des Beaux Arts» from 1910-13. He later joined the Pallas Art School from 1919-1921. This piece is a precious part of a small and quite rare creative heritage, reflecting the mastery and vision of one of the era's most distinguished artists.
Ohakas, Valdur (1925 – 1998). Maastik. (1965)
Valdur Ohakas' painting "Maastik" (1965) is an exquisite example of 20th-century Estonian art. Created with oil on cardboard, it measures 37 x 48 cm and is signed lower left as "VOhakas 65." On the reverse, you'll find "Ohakas, Valdur 'Maastik' 1965 37 x 48." Ohakas, who lived from 1925 to 1998, was a distinguished artist, particularly celebrated in Estonia. His education at the Tartu art institute, his affiliation with the Pallas school, and his friendships within the Tartu circle make his works stand out with critical perspectives on established art norms. Meyer, Claus (1856 – 1919).
Experience the beauty and elegance of Claus Meyer's "Flowers in a Faience Vase." Painted during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this oil on canvas piece is a masterful example of Meyer's artistic prowess. Born in Linden and trained at prestigious institutions such as the Nuremberg School and Munich Academy, Meyer's technique blossomed.
