Lepik, Hugo (1905 – 2001). The Alpine Violets. (1950s)
Hugo Lepik's masterpiece "The Alpine Violets" from the 1950s showcases his exceptional talent in painting landscapes, capturing the deep and vigorous coloring that is characteristic of his works. This oil on canvas, measuring 41.5 x 33.5 cm, features beautiful scenes from Estonia and images from Sweden and Norway. Lepik, a graduate of the State Industrial and Art School, traveled extensively to enhance his skills, eventually emigrating to Sweden in 1944. His mastery is not limited to landscapes; he also excelled in portraits. His works have been exhibited in various cities, including Riga, Kaunas, Antwerp, Rome, Budapest, Stockholm, Montreal, and throughout Sweden.
Darmstädter, Hannes (1913 -1962) Still Life (1948)
Tempera on cardboard showcases an exquisite still life, dated 1948, by the renowned artist Hannes Darmstädter. The artwork, measuring 58,5 x 45 cm, is prominently signed in the lower right corner with "H. Darmstädter 48". Additional details are available on the reverse side, indicating the artist's association with Krefeld - Forswald Bellenweg 171 and labeled "Stilleben I".
Loik, Valerian (1904 – 1986). View of Tolli Street. (1970 -s)
This unique artwork, "View of Tolli Street," captures a moment from the 1970s, meticulously crafted by Loik, Valerian using colored and black pencils on paper. Its dimensions are 24 x 17.4 cm. On its reverse, a confirmation from I. Lorberg validates that the work was indeed created by V. Loik. A piece that carries the authenticity and vision of an era gone by.
Hübner, Carl Wilhelm (1814 – 1879). Mother with the Child. (1840 – 50s)
This exquisite oil painting on a zinc plate by the known Düsseldorf artist, Carl Wilhelm Hübner, showcases a touching scene: "Mother with the Child." Created during the period of 1840-50s, the artwork possesses the signature CH at the lower right and "Carl Hübner" on the reverse. The oval painting, measuring 15 x 11.5, conveys a timeless emotion that captures the tender relationship between a mother and her child. This is an exceptional piece for art enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Born in Munich, Paul Braig is a French painter. Paul Braig studied at the Munich Academy and in 1923-1924 at the Bauhaus in Dessau under Kandinsky and Klee, then in France at the rich and powerful school of Roger Bissière. His movement - Expressionism. But according to the critic Gérald Schurr, Expressionism is endowed with "a certain tenderness and oriental sensuality". To this can be added his free, skillful brushstrokes, which often made him a remarkable portraitist and a highly sought-after poster artist. He was rightly considered the Courbet of our time – modernized, that is! Working in France, Italy and other countries.
Kleis, H. A. Still life (mid 20th century)
Oil on canvas artwork depicting a still life scene, created by the renowned German artist H. A. Kleis. Painted in an academic style during the mid-20th century, this piece was produced before the war. Although the precise identity of the author remains ambiguous, the signature "H. A. Kleis" is evident on the lower right of the canvas.
Kits-Mägi, Linda (1916-1990). Diet. A Still – Life. (1986)
Linda Kits-Mägi's "Diet. A Still - Life. (1986)" is an exquisite oil on canvas painting, measuring 47.4 x 94.5 cm. Created during a phase when the artist was deeply influenced by her husband, Elmar Kits, and French culture and impressionism, it exhibits a unique colourist's style that is purely Linda's. Having studied at the "Pallas" Art School during 1934–1943, Linda's work is a testament to her distinguished individuality and artistic mastery. This piece captures an essence that is both timeless and captivating, making it a perfect addition to any art collection.
Schmidt E. A. XX century German artist. In the Courtyard. (1910 – 20s)
A timeless masterpiece, this oil on canvas titled "In the Courtyard" beautifully captures the essence of the early 20th century German artistry. Signed by A. E. Schmidt on the lower right, this exquisite work reflects the nuances of the Art Nouveau movement, emphasized by its elegant woodcut design. EA Schmidt, who tied the knot with Irmgat Schmidt-Busch in Weimar in 1905, is celebrated in the Encyclopedia of Baltic-German artists by Kuno Hagen, underscoring the artist's prominence in this golden era of art.
