Büchtger, Robert (1862 – 1951). At Lake. (1920s-1930s)
Oil on canvas painting "At Lake" from the 1920s-1930s period by renowned artist Robert Büchtger (1862 - 1951) showcases a sublime landscape. Robert Büchtger, born in St. Petersburg, was a prominent landscape painter, portraitist, and illustrator who studied in the Polytechnical School in Riga. He later became the apprentice of well-known Russian artists Gavriil Kondratenko and Ivan Shishkin. In 1889, Büchtger moved to Munich, Germany, where he stayed until the end of his life.
