Artist: Anatoli Strahhov, born in 1946, is a renowned artist who studied at the Tshinvali Art School from 1963 to 1967 and at the Estonian SSR State Art Institute from 1971 to 1976. He currently lives and works in Tallinn. Strahhov is a member of the Estonian Artists' Union and the Estonian Russian Artists' Association. He has been participating in national and international exhibitions since 1975. His annual solo exhibitions have been held in both Estonian and foreign galleries and exhibition halls. His works are in private collections in the USA, Finland, Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, and Estonia. Strahhov's works, which skillfully create the impression of different materials and textures, balance conservatism and experiment, tradition and exoticism, expressive materiality and ephemeralness on a strange border, contain elusive textures and meanings, never fully opening. He has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions. The artwork "Minu aed II" is an oil and tempera on cardboard, measuring 21 x 25 cm, and is signed by the artist in the lower right corner, dated 2023.
