Jaan Tuuling (1930 – 1998) was a renowned artist who completed his painting specialization from the Estonian State Art Institute in 1961. He worked as an art teacher in a Tallinn school with an artistic bias and also as an advertising poster artist. Jaan Tuuling was a member of the Estonian Art Fund and participated in several exhibitions both domestically and internationally. His works, highly appreciated, can be found predominantly in private collections worldwide, including Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, France, Finland, and the United States. The artwork "Kadakakülas" (1958) is an oil on cardboard painting, measuring 13 x 19.4 cm, and is from the artist's family collection. The back of the painting is marked with a pencil – J. Tuuling Sept.1957 Kadakakülas.
