Writer, poetess, translator. Wife of Vladimir Izdebsky ((1882 – 1965). Izdebsky was friends and worked with Auguste Rodin, Vasily Kandinsky). In 1919 Izdeba emigrated to Finland, in 1920 she arrived in Paris. She occupied a responsible post of secretary at the representation of the Nansen Committee of the League of Nations. Translated into French Akhmatova, M. Tsvetaeva, O. Mandelstam, B. Pasternak, V. Mayakovsky, A. Kuprin and others. Published in Paris an autobiography “Voici ma Vie” (“Here is my life”). The author of the books “L’orage qui fleurit” (verses, 1925), “La Naïade ivre” (prose, 1926), “Ballon d’enfant” (“Children’s balloon”), (Prose, 1933). She published articles on Russian poetry in the French periodical press. In 1941 she left for the USA. During the Second World War she worked in the US military ministry, after the war – in the French consulate. Published in the newspaper “The New Russian Word”, the magazine “Housewarming”. The author of the book “Meetings” (New York, 1943). Member of the Board of the Society who came from Europe and the Literary Fund.
