Erich Pehap’s “Workers” (1941) is a stunning linocut print on paper. Measuring 34 x 31 cm, the artwork is signed on the lower right by E. Pehap in 1941 and marked “Linool proovitrükk” on the lower left. Studying under the renowned artists N. Triik, A. Laigo, and P. Vaher at the “Pallas” Art School in Tartu, Pehap eventually emigrated to Finland, Sweden, and Canada. Graduating from the Montreal Institute of Design in 1952, he became a prominent artist, exhibiting in various countries and winning numerous awards. His works are part of collections in renowned museums and private holdings around the world. Pehap was a member of prestigious art associations and honored by the International Academy in Rome and the Academy of Milan.
