Erich Pehap (1912-1981) was a renowned artist known for his work “Paadisadamas” (1978). This piece is a papercut on paper, measuring 42 x 32 cm, and is unsigned. Pehap studied painting under N. Triigi and graphics under A. Laigo and R. Vaher at “Pallas”, graduating in 1939. During the war, he moved to Finland, then Sweden, and finally settled in Toronto in 1949. He was a member of several international art associations, including the International Institute of Arts and Letters (Switzerland), the World Print Council (USA), and an honorary member of the Academia Internazionale di Roma. He received numerous awards throughout his career.
