Original oil painting by the internationally renowned artist Paul Braig.
Born in Munich, Paul Braig is a French painter. Paul Braig studied at the Munich Academy and in 1923-1924 at the Bauhaus in Dessau under Kandinsky and Klee, then in France at the rich and powerful school of Roger Bissière. His movement – Expressionism. But according to critic Gérald Schurr, Expressionism is endowed with “a certain tenderness and oriental sensuality”. To this can be added his free, skillful brushstrokes, which often made him a remarkable portraitist and a highly sought-after poster artist. He was rightly considered the Courbet of our time – modernized, that is! Working in France, Italy and other countries.
