Evald Okas, People’s Artist of the Soviet Union, full member of the USSR Academy of Arts, professor. He got his training in art in Tallinn, at the State School in 1938 – 1941, graduating with the diploma of a painter. E. Okas’ works have been displayed at exhibitions since 1939.
