Lepik, Hugo (1905 – 2001). Spain. (1950s)

This exquisite watercolor painting on paper, measuring 35 x 47 cm, is an original creation by Hugo Lepik. Graduating from the State Industrial and Art School in 1929, Lepik enhanced his skills in Germany, Italy, Finland, and Canada before emigrating to Sweden in 1944. His works reflect deep and vigorous coloring, especially in his Estonian landscapes and pictures of Sweden and Norway. Hugo Lepik’s mastery also extends to portraits, and his paintings have been exhibited in cities like Riga, Kaunas, Antwerp, Rome, Budapest, Stockholm, Montreal, and various Swedish cities.
