Watercolor painter, born in 1912 in Harjumaa, Loksa. Died in 2011. In 1930-1934 he studied trumpet at the Tallinn Conservatory.

From 1944 to 1951 he continued his studies at ERKI in painting with Johannes Grenberg and Lepo Mikko.

In 1958 he presented his first exhibition. In 1957-1958, his cartoons were published in the PIKKER magazine. Member of the Union of Estonian Artists since 1959. Participated in spring and autumn exhibitions in Tallinn, watercolor exhibitions in Tallinn and Moscow, watercolor triennial in Riga. A total of seven solo exhibitions. Worked as a freelancer. The main part of his work is landscape painting, mainly depicting the sea and autumn nature, he also cultivated composition and still life portraits. Soft, melting shades are used, achieved by mixing colors when wet.
