A remarkable lithography on paper by renowned artist Alex Kütt from 1945. This rare portrait art measures 40 x 27 cm and bears the signatures ‘Litoograaf Jul. Männik’ and ‘Kütt’ on the lower left and right respectively. Alex Kütt, an alumnus of Tallinn State Institute of Applied Arts, served as a lecturer at the Department of drawing and graphics at the Art Academy of Estonia from 1949 to 1985. Known for his skills in printmaking, Kütt experimented with various engraving techniques and advanced methods of electro-colour gravure printing and graphic hot. His works, encompassing depictions of fishermen, industrial motifs, landscapes, sports, and war, transformed in style during the late 1960s, reflecting his evolving imagination and a distinct decorative touch.
